April 2013: A Cold And Snowy Month

April was unusually cold and extremely snowy across the upper midwest.  Temperatures were generally 6 to 12 degrees below normal across southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.   Much of the area saw more than 750% of normal snowfall, and St. Cloud experienced its snowiest April on record.  Below you'll find climate summaries for the Twin Cities, Chanhassen, St. Cloud, and Eau Claire.
