Eau Claire Has Second Driest July on Record

After a very wet start to 2013, July saw a turning of the tables at Eau Claire, as they quickly went from a wet pattern to a very dry one.  Beside being 3.24 inches below normal, the 0.64 inches of rain measured last month at the airport was the second lowest July amount of all time behind only July of 1936 (0.12"), it marks only the fourth time there has been less than one inch of rain in July at Eau Claire, and to this point, it has been the driest month so far this year.
