Lake Superior Ice Coverage - Updated 2/16

Mostly clear skies allowed for an unobscured image of Lake Superior from the MODIS polar orbiting satellite. Though small channels of open water have been developing due to winds pushing the ice sheets away from the shores, nearly all of the lake is ice covered. Additionally, recent system snowfall has highlighted much of the ice cover.
