A Wide Range of Temperatures across Upper Michigan on Sunday

While the interior west half of Upper Michigan saw some of the warmest temperatures in over 6 months, other locations were struggling to make it out of the 40s. The combination of clouds, rain showers and wind off a frigid Lake Michigan resulted in high temperatures as low as 39 (Manistique) across the east half. Meanwhile, afternoon lake breezes halted warming along Lake Superior. For example, Copper Harbor dropped from 53 at 10am EDT to 39 at 11am EDT after winds turned from off the icy Lake Superior.
