Past Weather Information Available for Additional Upper Michigan Locations
Several Cooperative Weather Observers have been added to the NOWData tab of our climate page. Daily past weather is available for these sites over the last two years. Additionally, climate averages for the standard 30-year period of 1971-2000 can be obtained, as well as extremes for each station's complete period of record. Available weather and climate parameters include temperature, precipitation, snowfall (where available), and heating, cooling and growing degree days. The map below displays the sites that are currently available on the Marquette, MI NOWData site and the sites that will be coming in the near future.
To access the data, click on the Climate tab on the main page of our website. Then click on the NOWData tab on the right hand side of the screen.
NOAA’s Online Weather Data (NOWData) is a data query system providing basic climate statistics to the public, using the NOAA Regional Climate Center Applied Climate Information System (ACIS). Through NOWData, climate statistics are available, on a preliminary basis, for over 3,800 surface observing stations from across the conterminous U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam.
