27th Straight Day with Measurable Snow at Marquette National Weather Service!!!

The snowy December continues into January at the Marquette National Weather Service Office in Negaunee Township.

Today, January 4th marked the 27th straight day of measurable snow (defined as at least 0.1 inch of snow). This marks the longest stretch on record for consecutive days with measurable snow at the NWS Office in Negaunee Township!  Measurable snow has fallen every day since December 9th. In addition, at least a trace of snow has been observed every day since Thanksgiving Day. Below is the top 10 list of consecutive days with measurable snow:
