A strong storm system over the Minnesota will slide northeast into Canada by this evening. The main impacts from the system today will be gusty south to southwest winds across all of the area and scattered rain showers over eastern Upper Michigan. The strongest winds will occur over the Keweenaw Peninsula and over Lake Superior with gusts up to 40 mph Friday night into Saturday. On Halloween, plan on a mixed bag of rain and snow showers across the northern half of Upper Michigan, with gusty west winds and temperatures around 40 degrees.
