Driest Start to the Year at NWS Marquette

Through April 9th,  the National Weather Service in Negaunee Township has received 4.22" of liquid precipitation since the start of the year.  The current deficit  is 4.26" from the normal amount of 8.48" over the same period.  This ranks as the driest start to a calendar year on record.  The table below lists the top ten driest starts as of April 9, 2011.
