At 94°F, this was the warmest day at the NWS office in Negaunee Township since July 31, 2006, when the temperature topped out at 96°F.  While the temperature was high, the humidity made it feel even warmer. Most places around the Upper Peninsula saw heat index readings between 100 and 110°F, with a few reaching slightly above 110°F!
