Smoke from Ontario Wildfires over Upper Michigan

You may have noticed that the air looks a little hazy today, or you may be even smelling a little smoke in the air. This is actually smoke from huge wildfires in extreme NW Ontario into eastern Manitoba over 400 miles away. You can see the smoke on the GOES visible satellite image. Fortunately, the wind should shift direction tonight and allow the smoke to drift back north.
