|Precipitation Totals For the U.P. State Fair Week
The weather was generally pleasant for the 2011 U.P. State Fair. A cold front sliding across the area Wednesday morning brought some light showers. Another round of showers and thunderstorms arrived on Friday morning, and again on Friday afternoon as another cold front marched west to east across the U.P. Some of those storms were severe, with one producing a tornado near Wausaukee, WI that breifly crossed into Menominee County. Hail up to the size of quarters was also reported in and around the city of Menominee.
