Submit Storm Reports

Your reports and observations are of great help to us.  We compare the reports to radar imagery and surrounding observations to assist with our forecasts. Follow this link to submit a report:

The reports are received immediately by an NWS meteorologist. Here are a few tips to increase the helpfulness of a report:

  1. When reporting flooding, be sure to write where it is occurring (be specific), and what the impacts are (travel obstructed by flood waters, minor flooding on side streets, etc).
  2. The reports can be used to tell us what type of precipitation is falling (sleet, snow, rain, freezing rain), or if the precipitation is causing travel issues, by placing your observation in the comments section.
  3. Be as detailed as possible with the timing of the event (e.g. "Snow total is from around 6pm yesterday to noon today").
  4. Make sure the "County" and "Location" boxes are correct.

Thank you for your reports!!!
