Rain Or Snow, It's Never Too Early To Be Prepared...

After a good lake effect rain and snow event across much of Upper Michigan overnight, we thought that it was time to remind you the winter season is near.  And it's never too early to start getting prepared.  Visit our Winter Weather Preparedness Page to get tips on how you can prepare for the upcoming snow season...

Highest totals as of 8am, October 11, have came from western and southern Marquette County as well as Eastern Baraga County, where several 2 to 3 inch reports were made. Herman, MI topped out the highest so far at 4.6 inches (located in the higher terrain of Baraga  County). The NWS office in Neegaunee Township measured 1.5 inches in a 6 hour period.
