4th Latest 50 Degree Day on Record at NWS Marquette

On the afternoon of April 15th, NWS Marquette reached the 50 degree mark for the first time in 2013.  This ties for the 4th latest first 50 degree day to start a year. Since we usually see our first 50 degree temperature around March 15th, we were one whole month behind schedule. In addition, there have only been 10 years prior to 2013 where the first 50 came in the month of April, and we normally see about eight 50 degree days by April 15th. Unfortunately, this warmer weather will be short-lived as colder weather makes a return mid-week through the weekend.
