July 2013 Was The 8th Month in a Row with Above Normal Precipitation

July 2013 ended up being 1.94" above the normal precipitation we see at our office. This marks the 8th month in a row that we have seen above normal precipitation. The last time our office experienced 8 months of above normal precipitation was from February through October 2002 (9 months in a row).

Our office in Negaunee Township received 4.78” of rain during July. This ranks as the 7th wettest July on record.  Here is a list of the Top 10 Wettest July’s since our records started in October 1961.
