River Flood Warning Polygons Begin January 28, 2014

Beginning January 28, 2014, the NOAA National Weather Service Forecast Office in Marquette, Michigan will begin issuing polygon-based river flood watches, river flood warnings and river flood statements across much of Upper Michigan.

 

Instead of highlighting the entire county on the Watch/Warning/Advisory Map on the front page of our web site, only the area along the river in proximity to the river forecast point will be highlighted. The highlighted areas are not inundation maps, but are simply a means to graphically represent select rivers where we provide flood forecast and warning services.
