Some Temperature Statistics for the Recent Cold Stretch

While Upper Michigan is accustomed to seeing very cold weather every winter, the recent cold stretch still produced some impressive statistics. All locations across Upper Michigan saw temperatures of colder than -5F during at least some point from 1/6/14 to 1/8/14. Wind chills across the western U.P. were lower than -50F at times, while many locations did not experience temperatures above 0F for several days. This stretch will not go down as one that broke many records, but the cold temperatures combined with the wind made for colder wind chills than many have felt in some time.
