Mother's Day Severe Weather and Flooding Event


During the late afternoon and evening on May 11, 2014, severethunderstorms developed along an east-west oriented warm front that was draped across southeast Nebraska. One large supercell produced a series of tornadoes for 119 miles from Clay County to Douglas County Nebraska. In additional to the tornadoes, strong straight line winds, large hail, and very heavy rains also occurred. This is a summar of the tornadoes and flooding on that day.
