Another Potent Winter Storm Heading Our Way...

A large wintter storm system will move from the southern plains into the mid Mississippi River valley by early Sunday. This will spread a variety of wintry precipitation into the area, especially acrosss southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. From one tenth to one quarter of an inch of ice may develop as rain changes to freezing rain, with 1 to 5 inches of snow forecast on top of the ice.  Winds will also be increasing to 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph on Sunday which will create areas of blowing snow with reduced visibility and near blizzard conditions in places.
