COOP Weather Observer Needed in Albion, Nebraska

For many decades (since 1893 actually) volunteers have taken once-per-day precipitation and temperature observations in the Albion, Nebraska area. These reports have established climatological normals for Southeastern Boone county. Unfortunately Albion has been without a daily weather reporter now since July of 2008. Perhaps someone in or near Albion would be interested in volunteering their reports to the National Weather Service . Equipment will be provided by the NWS. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in weather who wants to render a valuable public service. If you are interested and desire more information, please contact:
