The average temperature (averaging the high and low temperature each day) for July 2009 was:

 

Omaha:  71.9 degrees, which was 4.8 degrees below normal. This tied for the 5th coolest July on record.  

 

Lincoln:  72.7 degrees, which was 5.1 degrees below normal. This tied for the 7th coolest July on record.

 

Norfolk:  70.3 degrees, which was 4.5 degrees below normal. This tied for the 3rd coolest July on record.

A few interesting notes about Omaha in July 2009:

The maximum temperature was above normal only once, at 94 degrees on the 24th.

Omaha hit 90+ only once in July.  This ties for the fewest 90+ degree readings in July on record with 1992, 1915 and 1891.

Omaha did not hit 90+ until July 24th, which is the second latest 90+ degree reading on record.  The latest is July 30 in 1993.
