Heavy rain fell over parts of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa Monday night and Tuesday morning. Below is a map of rainfall amounts received up through around 7 am cdt Tuesday morning. The heaviest amounts appeared to have fallen from Otoe county Nebraska into the far southern parts of Fremont and Page counties in southwest Iowa. Syracuse reported 2.77 inches of rain. No amounts were received in extreme southern Fremont or extreme southern Page counties. Below that image is the radar estimated rainfall showing the axis of heaviest precipitation.
Other amounts in Otoe county include 4.10 reported by the public 3 miles south of Palmyra, as well as 3.50 inches 0.2 miles west southwest of Unadilla and 3.14 inches 1.5 miles south of Palmyra. The report near Unadilla and just south of Palymra were from the NE Rain network.
