Cold Temperatures

Record cold maximum temperatures occurred over the weekend.  This means that the high temperature was the coldest ever recorded for those dates. 

On Saturday October 10, 2009

The high temperature at Omaha Eppley was only 41 degrees. This equalled the coldest maximum temperature record for the date of 41 which was set 1987.  Omaha Eppley also equalled the record low of 27 for the date, which was set in 1872.  

The high temperature at Lincoln was only 38 degrees.  This exceeded the coldest mininum temperature record for the date of 41 which occurred in 1987.  

The high temperature at Norfolk was only 40 degrees.  This exceeded the coldest minimum temperature record for the date of 42 which occurred in 1932.

 

On Sunday October 11, 2009

The high temperature at Omaha Eppley was only 40 degrees.  This exceeded the coldest maximum temperature record for the date of 45 which was set 1946.  

The high temperature at Lincoln was only 40 degrees.  This exceeded the coldest mininum temperature record for the date of 47 which occurred in 1946.  

The high temperature at Norfolk was only 38 degrees.  This exceeded the coldest minimum temperature record for the date of 40 which occurred in 1946.
