Seasonal Snowfall Through January 2010

The seasonal snowfall through January 2010 has been two to three times normal.  The graphic below shows the preliminary seasonal totals through January from our various COOP reporters and airport sites.  Thirty-five to 45 inch amounts are common; however, the range is from 25.3 inches to 53.2 inches.

At Omaha, Lincoln, and Norfolk, the normal snowfall is around 15 to 18 inches for the season through January.  Last year (2008-2009), Omaha and Lincoln only had around 11 inches through January, while Norfolk had 26.7 inches!
