...EF-1 TORNADO DAMAGE CONFIRMED IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA...

AN NWS ASSESSMENT TEAM HAS CONFIRMED THAT EF-1 TORNADO DAMAGE HAD
OCCURRED IN JEFFERSON COUNTY IN RELATION TO THURSDAY NIGHT'S
THUNDERSTORMS.

THE TORNADO TRACK MEASURED ABOUT 3 MILES LONG AND 300 YARDS WIDE

WITH THE TOUCH DOWN ABOUT 3.5 MILES WEST OF DILLER.
THE TORNADO THEN LIFTED ROUGHLY 3 MILES NORTHWETS OF DILLER.

DAMAGE CONSISTED MAINLY OF TREES AND FARM SHEDS...WITH A CENTER
PIVOT SUSTAINING DAMAGE AT THE TORNADO LIFTING POINT.
ALSO OF NOTE...35 LARGE POWER POLES WERE COMPLETELY SNAPPED.
