A Wet Summer for Much of the Region

July was a wet month, not only for Nebraska, but for much of the region.  During the ranking period of 1895-2010, Wisconsin had their wettest July on record, Iowa their fourth wettest, and South Dakota and Missouri in their top 10.

The divisional ranks below show that northeast Nebraska and western Iowa were much above normal for July, with southeast South Dakota and northwest Iowa experiencing their wettest July.
