Missouri River at Brownville above flood stage for 78 days

The Missouri River at Brownville finally fell below flood stage Saturday, August 28th at 12:45pm. The river had gone above flood stage on June 11th and crested at 42.89 feet, which is 10.89 feet above flood stage on the evening of June 22nd. This summer's crest was the 2nd highest ever reported at Brownville. The highest crest ever recorded at Brownville was on July 24, 1993 when the river reached a stage of 44.30 feet.
