First Snow Of The Season

The date of the first snow of the season is quite variable.  In 2009, much of the area received an early first accumulating snow on October 10.  This year, snow fall has been a little closer to average.  Omaha measured its first snowfall on November 13, just a day away from its average first measurable snow (0.1" or more).  Lincoln has not yet officially recorded measurable snow, though eastern sides of the city did receive accumulating snow on November 12-13.  Norfolk also has not yet recorded measurable snow, which is slightly behind schedule for that location.
