Another round of snow is expected to spread from west to east across the area from late this morning into this afternoon. Current indications are that the heavier amounts will be over northern Kansas into western Missouri, but clipping sections of southeast Nebraska. Amounts will quickly decrease to the northeast, with Omaha and areas to the northeast on the edge of the accumulating snow. Snowfall should range from 5 to 6 inches along the Nebraska/Kansas border, around 3 inches in Lincoln, and an inch or two in Omaha. Extreme northeast Nebraska and northwest Iowa may just get a dusting or even nothing at all.
Below is a map of expected snowfall amounts through daybreak Thursday.
