A prolonged period of hot and humid weather is forecast for the local area through Saturday. 

Actual air temperatures will likely peak between 97 and 102 most afternoons. Heat Index 

values should range from 101 to 108 for a few hours each day. Nighttime Heat Index

values will likely not drop below the mid 70s.

If you have outdoor plans...be prepared for the heat and humidity. Try to avoid strenuous

activity during the hottest part of the day and stay hydrated through the week.
