...LOCALIZED FLOODING POSSIBLE...

HEAVY RAINS FELL SATURDAY NIGHT OVER A LARGE PART OF
NORTHWESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL MIDDLE TENNESSEE. TOTALS OF
TWO TO THREE INCHES OCCURRED OVER EXTREME WESTERN SUMNER
COUNTY...AROUND WHITE HOUSE... SOUTHERN ROBERTSON COUNTY
...NORTHERN CHEATHAM COUNTY...NORTHERN DICKSON COUNTY...
SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY...EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN STEWART
COUNTY...AND MOST OF HOUSTON COUNTY. MANY OTHER SPOTS...
NORTH OF A LINE FROM LOBELVILLE...TO NASHVILLE...AND
LAFAYETTE...RECEIVED BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES OF RAIN.

MORE HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED IN THE MID STATE THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...WHICH MAY PRODUCE
LOCALIZED FLOODING... ESPECIALLY IN AREAS THAT SAW THE
HEAVY RAINS SATURDAY NIGHT. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO
INCHES OF RAINFALL IS FORECAST FOR ALL OF THE MID STATE
BY MONDAY MORNING...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS LIKELY.

MANY AREAS HAVE NOT SEEN RAINFALL THIS HEAVY IN ALMOST
A MONTH. THE LAST TIME THE NASHVILLE AIRPORT RECEIVED
OVER AN INCH OF RAIN IN A SINGLE DAY WAS BACK ON
OCTOBER 12...AND THE LAST TIME MORE THAN TWO INCHES
FELL WAS BACK ON SEPTEMBER 17.
