June, 2008 climate summaries

June averaged drier and warmer than normal at Evansville and Paducah. Monthly rainfall was 20 to 40 percent below normal, or one to two inches below normal.

  • At Evansville, June was the first month since November of 2007 that monthly precipitation was below normal. At Paducah, June was the first month since January that precipitation was below normal.
  • Temperatures averaged somewhat warmer than normal, mainly overnight lows.
