THE FOLLOWING IS THE COMPLETED DAMAGE ASSESSMENT FOR NORTHERN
CHRISTIAN COUNTY IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...

* EVENT DATE - SUNDAY MAY 2 2010

* EVENT TIME - 249 AM TO 300 AM CDT

* EVENT TYPE - EF2 TORNADO

* EVENT LOCATION - 7 MILES WEST OF CROFTON KY TO 6 MILES NORTH OF
CROFTON KY.

* PEAK WIND - 120 MPH

* AVERAGE PATH WIDTH - 275 YARDS

* PATH LENGTH - 9.5 MILES ***THIS REFLECT A 1/2 MILE EXTENSION TO
THE TRACK EAST OF THE PENNYRILE PARKWAY PER THE COMPLETED DAMAGE
SURVEY

* INJURIES - NONE

* FATALITIES - NONE

* DISCUSSION/DAMAGE - HIGHEST CONCENTRATION OF DAMAGE WAS ALONG
POOLE MILL ROAD WEST OF CROFTON AND ALONG THE MANNINGTON LOOP
NORTH OF CROFTON. 3 MOBILE HOMES WERE SEVERELY DAMAGED OR
DESTROYED /UNOCCUPIED/ ON POOLE MILL ROAD AND ADAMS STORE ROAD.
ON MANNINGTON LOOP...2 MOBILE HOMES SUFFERED MODERATE TO MAJOR
DAMAGE AND A GARAGE WAS LEVELED. SEVERAL BARNS SUFFERED MINOR TO
MODERATE DAMAGE. HUNDREDS OF TREES WERE UPROOTED OR SNAPPED...
PARTICULARLY ON MANNINGTON LOOP AND U.S. HIGHWAY 41.

A SEPARATE BRIEF TORNADO TOUCHDOWN OCCURRED BRIEFLY ABOUT 2.5
MILES EAST OF THIS TRACK ABOUT 3 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF WHITE
PLAINS KENTUCKY...AS REFLECTED IN AN EARLIER PUBLIC INFORMATION
STATEMENT.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE COMPLETED DAMAGE ASSESSMENT FOR FULTON/HICKMAN
COUNTIES COUNTY IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...

* EVENT DATE - SUNDAY MAY 2 2010

* EVENT TIME - 105 AM CDT TO 125 AM CDT

* EVENT TYPE - EF2 TORNADO

* EVENT LOCATION - 2.5 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF CAYCE TO 5 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF CLINTON KY...TO 1.25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF FULGHAM.

* PEAK WIND - 115 MPH

* PATH WIDTH - RANGED FROM A FEW YARDS WIDE TO 600 YARDS

* PATH LENGTH - 12.5 MILES

* INJURIES - NONE

* FATALITIES - NONE

* DISCUSSION/DAMAGE - TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN NEAR ALEXANDER ROAD
WITH EF0 STRENGTH AND TRAVELED NORTHEAST...MAINLY DAMAGING
TREES. NEAR HIGHWAY 924 IT INCREASED TO EF1 SCALE WITH SOME DAMAGE
TO OUTBUILDINGS AND MINOR HOUSE DAMAGE. ONE MOBILE HOME WAS MOVED A
FEW FEET AND THE ROOF TORN BACK. A BOAT ON A TRAILER WAS CHAINED TO
A POST AND WOUND UP ON ITS END...DAMAGING THE BOAT. ANCHORED TV
ANTENNAS WERE PULLED OUT OF THE GROUND AND BENT.

AS THE TORNADO MOVED INTO HICKMAN COUNTY...IT INTENSIFIED TO
EF2...WHERE ALONG HIGHWAY 51...JUST NORTH OF CRUTCHFIELD...SEVERAL
POLE BARNS WERE DESTROYED OR DAMAGED. ONE BARN WAS OVER 100 FT LONG
AND HAD TELEPHONE POLES ANCHORED IN CONCRETE. MOST OF THE POLES WERE
SNAPPED. HOWEVER...A FEW WERE ALSO PULLED UP...WITH ONE THROWN
APPROXIMATELY 50 YARDS. LARGE TREES WERE UPROOTED OR SNAPPED. MINOR
HOUSE DAMAGE ALSO OCCURRED HERE.

AS THE TORNADO CONTINUED NORTHEAST IT DAMAGED 3 HOMES ALONG HOWELL
AND BYRD ROADS. ONE HOUSE SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO AN OUTSIDE
WALL..PUSHED IN ABOUT 3 INCHES...AND LOST THE CARPORT ATTACHED TO
THAT WALL. IN ADDITION...A TWO STORY GARAGE WAS DESTROYED...ALONG
WITH OTHER SHEDS AND ANOTHER CARPORT. THE OTHER TWO HOUSES SUSTAINED
DAMAGE TO GARAGES AND SIDING. FROM THIS POINT...THE TORNADO WEAKENED
SIGNIFICANTLY AND PRODUCED ONLY MINOR TREE DAMAGE UNTIL IT
DISSIPATED.

IN ADDITION...THIS STORM PRODUCED A PATH OF WIND DAMAGE TO THE SOUTH
OF THE TORNADO ONCE THE TORNADO WEAKENED. THIS PATH AVERAGED ABOUT
50 YARDS WIDE AND EXTENDED FROM 1.2 MILES NORTHWEST OF BEELERTON TO
.5 MILES EAST OF WATTS STATION ALONG THE HICKMAN...GRAVES COUNTY
BORDER. PEAK WINDS IN THIS PATH WERE ESTIMATED AT 75 MPH.

DOWN...SOME 7 TO 8 INCHES IN DIAMETER. 3 LARGE PINE TREES SNAPPED...
AND ONE UPROOTED. THERE WAS A CONCENTRATED DAMAGE PATH...AND SOME
EVIDENCE OF CROSSWINDS TO THE LEFT OF THE PATH OF THE STORM.

GROVE CHURCH ROAD WHERE A BARN WAS BLOWN DOWN...ALONG WITH PART
OF A MOBILE HOME ROOF BLOWN OFF. SEVERAL TREES AND LARGE TREE
LIMBS WERE ALSO BLOWN DOWN. THIS WAS CAUSED BY THE SAME STORM
THAT PRODUCED AN EF2 TORNADO ACROSS NORTHERN CHRISTIAN COUNTY.
