COUNTY IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...

* EVENT DATE - SUNDAY JULY 11, 2010

* EVENT TIME - 315 - 325 PM CDT

* EVENT TYPE - MICROBURST

* EVENT LOCATION - SOUTHEAST SIDE OF HERRIN TO 2 MILES EAST OF
JOHNSTON CITY

* PEAK WIND - 75 MPH

* AVERAGE PATH WIDTH - 1 MILE (MAX TO 2 MILES)

* PATH LENGTH - APPROXIMATELY 7 MILES

* INJURIES - NONE

* FATALITIES - NONE

* DISCUSSION/DAMAGE - PRIMARY DAMAGE WAS NUMEROUS TREE LIMBS AND
SEVERAL TREES DOWNS ALONG WITH SOME POWER LINES DOWN. MINOR DAMAGE
TO A FEW HOMES IN JOHNSTON CITY PRIMARILY DUE TO DOWNED TREES OR
TREE LIMBS.
