**Updated** Damage surveys and reports for Monday's storms

Three significant areas of damage occurred across western Kentucky on Monday. The following are preliminary summarys of these events.

1. A damage survey has been completed for two tornadoes in Ballard County, KY...rated EF-2 and EF-1. View survey results.

2. Damage survey has been completed for Muhlenberg County, KY...rated EF-1. View survey results.

            WIDESPREAD DEBRIS FIELD. THE PLANT IS LOCATED BETWEEN
            HOPKINSVILLE AND PEMBROKE.

   NORTHEAST OF PEMBROKE.

* DAMAGE DETAIL......AT LARGE MANUFACTURING/WAREHOUSE TYPE METAL
   BUILDING ON U.S. HIGHWAY 41...LARGE SECTIONS OF ROOF UP TO 100
   BY 400 FEET WERE REMOVED. SMALL SECTIONS OF EXTERIOR WALL BLOWN
   IN OR PEELED BACK. ROOFTOP HVAC UNIT BLOWN OFF. IN FRONT OF
   BUILDING...STEEL UTILITY POLES BENT ALMOST TO THE GROUND. ALL 7
   INJURIES OCCURRED AT THIS BUILDING...WHERE WORKERS INSIDE WERE
   STRUCK BY FLYING OBJECTS. ALL BUT ONE INJURED PERSON RELEASED
   FROM HOSPITAL AS OF TUESDAY MORNING. STRONG EVIDENCE OF
   ROTATION IN DEBRIS PATTERN OUTSIDE THE BUILDING. REMAINDER OF
   PATH WAS THROUGH SPARSELY POPULATED FARM COUNTRY. TWO BARNS
   LEVELLED. METAL ROOFS OFF TWO HOUSES. DOZENS OF UPROOTED TREES.
   PATH WIDTH UP TO 200 YARDS MAXIMUM.

A COUPLE OF UPROOTED TREES IN PEMBROKE WERE CAUSED BY STRAIGHT
LINE WINDS AND NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE TORNADO. A SMALL
BUILDING FORMERLY USED AS A CAR WASH WAS UNROOFED IN THE COMMUNITY
OF LACEY IN NORTHERN CHRISTIAN COUNTY. THIS WAS CAUSED BY STRAIGHT
LINE WINDS OF AROUND 75 MPH AND NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE
TORNADO.
