As of May 6, the region is beginning come out of an unbelievable weather pattern that brought severe weather and flooding to the area.

As you can see, many areas recieved over 20 inches of rain in one month!
What is the percent of normal during that time?

This map shows that most areas got 400 to 500% of normal.
Severe weather was also a big issue during that time frame.
We had 35 tornadoes in our area as you can see on the map below from April 19-27.

Over 590 reports of severe weather, including hail, tornadoes, damaging wind, and flooding were sent out by the National Weather Service Office in Paducah during the time from April 6 to May 6, 2011
