2011 Annual Climate Summaries

 2011 was a very active weather year. Heavy precipitation events were the norm. Both Paducah and Evansville recorded their wettest years on record. Both sites also recorded the highest number of very heavy precipitation events (2 inches or more in a calendar day). Both Paducah and Evansville had 10 calendar days with at least two inches of precipitation. 

Despite a very cold start to the year in January, 2011 was tied for the 10th warmest year on record at Paducah.
