February 29 tornado outbreak - updated 3/6/12

A line of severe thunderstorms produced damage across parts of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky during the early morning hours Wednesday.  Several tornadoes touched down across the WFO Paducah forecast area.  At least 7 fatalities and dozens of injuries occurred with the early morning storms, with the southern Illinois community of Harrisburg the hardest hit area.

Following are details from damage assessment surveys conducted by the National Weather Service in Paducah on Wednesday and Thursday.  Additional information will be added for the tornado(s) that tracked from northern Bollinger county in southeast Missouri across the Mississippi River into southern Williamson county in southern Illinois as it is finalized.
