WITH A PERSISTENT UPPER LEVEL RIDGE AND SOUTHERLY WINDS FOR
3 WEEKS...UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES OCCURRED IN MANY
COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE QUAD STATE AREA. DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURES
WERE VERY SIMILAR TO TEMPERATURES EXPERIENCED DURING LATE MAY
AND EARLY JUNE...15 TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF
YEAR.

AT PADUCAH KENTUCKY...THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THIS MARCH WAS
60.5 DEGREES SHATTERING THE OLD RECORD OF 56.7 DEGREES SET IN
2007. MARCH 2012 EXPERIENCED 8 DAYS OF TEMPERATURES GREATER THAN
OR EQUAL TO 80 DEGREES...BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 6 DAYS SET IN
2007 ALSO. THERE WERE 3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS WHEN THE RECORD HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS TIED. THE WARMEST MORNING LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDED
FOR MARCH IS 66 DEGREES SET IN 1998...WHICH WAS TIED IN MARCH OF
2012 ON THE 19TH.
