Outlooks call for heat and drought to last through rest of this summer

 

  •  The Climate Prediction Center (CPC) forecasts a continuation of this hot and dry weather pattern across the mid section of the country. This pattern is expected to continue through August, according to the 30-day outlook. The 90-day outlook suggests the pattern will continue into early fall. This past spring was the warmest and driest spring on record at Paducah. In contrast, spring of 2011 was the wettest spring on record at Paducah.
