• July was the warmest month on record at Paducah. The average temperature of 84.5 degrees broke the previous record average temperature of 84.2, set in July of 1993.
• July tied the warmest month on record at Cape Girardeau. The average temperature of 83.6 tied two other months for warmest month on record (July of 1980 and July of 1993).
• The record average temperature was not broken at Evansville. July was tied for the second warmest month on record at Evansville. The record warmest month was July of 1936, with an average temp of 85.1. A record was set for average daily high temperature, which was 97.3 degrees in July. The old record was 96.0, set in July of 1936 and tied in August of 2007.

Records go back to 1897 at Evansville, 1937 at Paducah, and 1960 at Cape Girardeau.
