Flash Flood Potential through midweek

There is a widespread flash flood potential for much of Colorado today through Wednesday.  The latest guidance for the Weather Prediction Center...

http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/qpf/excess_rain.shtml

shows a moderate risk for excessive rainfall across northeast Colorado.

However, showers and thunderstorms are expected across a good part of southern Colorado.  As always, areas most susceptible to flash flooding will be burn scars, urban areas, and areas with very steep terrain.

Be very weather alert through Wednesday.  Flash flooding can occur in a matter of a few minutes, with very little warning.

Remember, if you see flowing water on a roadway, Turn Around, Don't Drown!
