Freeze Highlights Come To An End For The San Luis Valley & Northern El Paso County

On the morning of October 3rd, the majority of the San Luis Valley had a hard freeze with temperatures falling into the mid and upper 20s.  Although some locations near the mountains did not have a hard freeze, the growing season in the area has come to an end.  Northern El Paso County also had a hard freeze with temperatures falling into the mid and upper 20s.  Thus, the National Weather Service will no longer issue Freeze or Frost Highlights this season for the San Luis Valley and Northern El Paso County.
