Tropical weather system, Dolly, is poised to move into northern Old Mexico and extreme southern Texas over the next 24 hours. There is the potential for the remnants of this weather system to move through northern old Mexico the rest of this week. The weather feature is forecast to possibly move into the Desert Southwest Sunday(7/27/08). By earlier next week, the weather system's remnants could move into the Great Basin and Central Rockies. If this occurs, there will be the potenial for moderate to heavy rainfall across the Central Rockies and an increasing the threat for flash flooding.
There is still much uncertainty if and when the remnants of "Dolly" will make it into the Central Rockies. Any change in the upper level steering currents could keep the weather feature further west Colorado next week.
