Major Storm takes aim at Southeast Colorado

A potentially dangerous early Spring snowstorm is on track to affect Southeast Colorado this Thursday and Friday, March 26-27th. Very cold air will arrive as a strong jet stream dives southward through Utah and into Arizona and New Mexico over the next couple of days. The storm will intensify as it moves through Northern New Mexico late Thursday into Friday. Strong Northeast to Northerly winds will accompany the storm over the Plains Thursday evening into Friday Morning. The northerly winds may mitigate the impact of the storm over southern El Paso and Northern Pueblo Counties, but there is still the potential for significant winter weather over the entire region, and all should pay close attention to the latest forecasts and statements regarding this storm.
