A local Model A Club visited our office and learned about our technologies and the services that the National Weather Service provides to our customers. Many were surprised by the sophistication of our operations and building, and liked the ease of getting live weather information from the Web site you are now on.
One visitor (91 years young) related his story of surviving three incidents in his life of nearby lightning strikes, one on a horse-drawn wagon which killed one of the horses. For lightning safety click HERE.
An added treat for us here at the office was the Model A cars that pulled up. Much hard work and TLC went into these machines! Thanks again to the folks who let us share our story Tuesday afternoon.
