Last Freeze Product for the Season

The offical end of the growing season is upon us with all of southeast Colorado seeing a hard killing freeze over the past few days.  This will allow for the end of NWS Pueblo Freeze and Frost Products until the Spring of 2011. 

Of note, is the official observation at Colorado Springs briefly reported a temperature of 32F on October 26th and had a low of 24F on October 27th, making it the second latest date on record in which a low temperature of 32F or less was recorded.  The latest date in which a temperature of 32F or less has been recorded is October 31st, 1963, which was also a La Nina Year.

The offical observation in Pueblo briefly reported a temperature of 32F on October 14th and had a low of 30F on October 20th, with the latest date of reporting a temperature of 32F or less being November 1st, 1963. 

The offical observation in Alamosa briefly reported a temperature of 32F on September 7th and had a low of 30F on September 11th, with the latest date of reporting a temperature of 32F or less being September 29th, 1982.
