The Warmest Summer on Record for Much of Southern Colorado

With meteorological summer (June, July and August) ending today, preliminary data continues to indicate the Summer of 2011 will be the warmest on record for Alamosa and Colorado Springs, with Pueblo not far behind. 

Data for Alamosa through August 31st indicates the average temperature for the summer has been 65.3F, with average maximum and minimum temperatures of 85.3F and 45.3F, respectively. Previous  records for the summer in Alamosa are as follows:
