Winter Storm Summary Banner

A cold front dropped southward across the area after a period of mild weather and brought a return of winter weather. Rain broke out across northern Wyoming on the afternoon of the April 12 and changed to snow from north to south during the evening hours. Snow continued through the night and into April 13 with the heaviest snow falling between midnight and noon. The highest amounts were generally in the favored northeasterly upslope locations like the Lander Foothills and Casper Mountain. A convective band also brought locally heavy snow in the vicinity of Greybull. Snow end during the afternoon and evening of the 13th as high pressure built in from the north.
