Another frigid day in store for Western and Central Wyoming

A VERY COLD DAY IS IN STORE ONCE AGAIN OVER CENTRAL AND WESTERN WYOMING TODAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO ONLY MAKE IT INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS AND LOWER TEENS.  PATCHY FREEZING FOG IS ALSO POSSIBLE IN THE VALLEYS AND BASINS THIS MORNING.  LOCALLY BREEZY CONDITIONS  WILL CREATE DANGEROUS WIND CHILL VALUES THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS.  THESE BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL PERSIST INTO THE MORNING HOURS...INCLUDING THE MORNING COMMUTE FOR BOTH SCHOOL CHILDREN AND ADULTS. IF YOU MUST GO OUTSIDE...PLEASE ENSURE YOU AND ANY CHILDREN ARE WEARING LAYERS OF CLOTHING INCLUDING HEAVY COATS...HATS...GLOVES AND SCARVES...AND THAT THE LEAST AMOUNT OF SKIN POSSIBLE IS EXPOSED. THESE CONDITIONS WILL ENHANCE THE ABILITY FOR FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA TO DEVELOP IF SKIN IS EXPOSED FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD.
